The Paint Factory at Yeronga will look to officially transform the old Taubmans paint factory at 115 Hyde Road into Australia’s first fully integrated arts village.

With plans refined through extensive consultation across both the arts and local communities, the proposed mixed-use development will shape the concept of ‘live, work and visit’ into an Australian-first precinct catering both to those who work in the creative industries and those keen to make a home in an arts-focused community.

It will put Brisbane firmly on the map as a vibrant and innovative destination.

It stepped that vision forward by incorporating a residential component alongside event and gallery spaces, facilities for visual artists, communal zones, green spaces, street art, outdoor performance spaces, retail tenancies and more.

The local team, led by long time Yeronga resident and Development Director Paul Hey, has lodged a Change of Use application from industrial to mixed use zoning with Brisbane City Council.

This is the first step in the process to formalise our vision to create Australia’s first fully integrated arts village.
